EBBW VALE & DISTRICT POOL LEAGUE RULES 2011/12

 

 

  1. Games to start at 8 p.m. Captains to ensure all practice games are over by 7.50 p.m.
  2. Teams can play with 5 players, 1st singles and 1st doubles lost.
  3. Arguments with the referee will result in a foul stroke being given and player(s) concerned brought before League Officers.  It is up to the referee where possible to inform the player at the table if he/she is likely, whether by intention or not, to commit a foul.  The Referee must check for, and call total snookers.
  4. If any player is banned from a venue, it will be up to the Landlord/Landlady whether the player will be allowed to play, if not a neutral venue will be found, for the singles KO only.
  5. Non registered players are not allowed to play; any team found doing so will be banned from the league.
  6. Fines

 A) Failure to turn up for a match                                £10.00

 B) Failure to attend league meeting                            £10.00

 C) Failure to return result card                                    £ 5.00

 D) Failure of winner/s to return KO result                  £ 5.00

      

       7.   Registrations: -   New Teams £15.00 Existing Teams £10.00, Entry to Charity Shield £10.00,   

                                    Monthly Cons £6.00

        8.  Order of play, 6 singles, 3 doubles, 2 pts for a win, order can be flexible if agreed by both sides.  In

             the event of 2 sides having the same number of points and legs at the end of the season, a play off                            

 will be held to decide the winner, singles and doubles.  KO’s 7.15 pm, roll call and start, no late  arrivals, all tables to be open for the KO’s

        9.   Notice of 48 hours must be given for a cancelled game, any team cancelling more than 2 games will

  Be fined £10.00, per cancelled game thereafter. A team cancelling will be given 3 dates by the other                     team, officers to be notified of rearranged date, by the next meeting after original fixture, games to        be rearranged, Monday to Friday.

10.  Team members dropping out of the league owing monies, will not be allowed back into the league

Until all monies owing is paid.  Players from teams that drop out will not be eligible for KO’s unless a transfer is made.

         11. A Player can register and play on the same night for the first four weeks.

         12. Time over a shot 1 minute, followed by a 10 second warning, if shot not played 2 shots will be

awarded to non offending team.

         13. 3 man team must play with a minimum of 3 players, 4th player may be played if desired, to do so 1  

player from 1st set must stand down in second set, likewise in the third set.

         14. If a team misses 3 consecutive meetings, they must attend 4th or 2 pts will be deducted for each

               missed meeting plus fines.

         15. Players may transfer, once only before halfway mark of season, this can only be done in a meeting.

With the delegates blessing, players can not transfer to a lower division.

         16. Teams not attending Presentation Night, will have their trophies withheld indefinitely, if repeated

they will be banned for a season and trophies withheld.

         17. All monies for KO’s must be paid on entry.

         18. Presentation tickets to be paid for at time of receipt and non returnable,

         19. All perpetual trophies must be returned, before or in last meeting of the season.
